We're to get a lj70 or similar

Hi although iv been looking for a Colorado I would like to have a look at a older LJ or import equivant, there used to be lots of import dealers around but can't seem to find any derbyshire way.
Also how do these compare to Colorados, I'd possibly be after a 5 door

Vizsla,

An LJ70 is the little SWB one, whereas a 5 door would be a LJ78 or KZJ78.

There are others on here who can tell you more about them, but they will be a little bit more primitive inside than a Colorado. Handling they might be quite similar as they're coil sprung (I had a leaf sprung FJ73) but I can't help more than that.

If you can get a 3.0 KZJ78 and you like the retro styling, good choice.

If youre thinking of the 2.4 LJ78, its no comparison, the Collie is a much better proposition.

I loved my LJ, but it was way too slow.

There is a very fine example of the 3.0 KZJ70 currently for sale in the classified section of this forum which would be much better than the 2.4 LJ
