Hello, i had the engine swaped, its a 1KZ-TE 3.0 TD, but it have this problem, it starts great and work realy well, no smoke and realy nice working, but after 2 minutes of working, it starts to have an irregular working and it makes a lote of white smoke.
We have already changed the diesel injector pump, the injectors and even tried puting the fuel lines from the pump strait from a bottle, but the problem remains... im getting desperate, anyone have any idea of what it could be?

Are you loosing coolant ?
White smoke (probably actually steam) is a sign of a leaking head gasket or . . . (whisper it) . . A cracked block - something the 1KZ-TE is famous for.
Does the white smoke clear quickly, I.e. no particles in it ?

Over fuelling (diesel) produces black smoke and burning oil produces blue smoke.

Bob.

We don´t think is coolant, it starts well and after 2 minutes, starts making the smoke, them we shutdown and start over again and it does the same thing, it is strange that it only happens after 2 minutes... and is not vapor, is diesel without burning...

Turbo wastegate jammed shut ?

Sensors see increased pressure and ecu tells the pump to increase fuel .

Just a guess ?

After changing a lot of parts, we opened the engine and we found that, sory i don't know the name in english, the arm that ataches to the piston was bend on the 4th piston, the came from a car that had roll over... Swaped that arm and got a new engime. Problem solved. Thaks for all the ideas.
