Why do the rear calipers have different slider pin boots design for each pin

As seen here in my roughtrax link to the genuine rear caliper boots, jus twondering why the boots have a different design when both the slider pins are the same?
I got my calipers reconditioned and they came back with both boots the same, both are the long single piece design, but 1 of the pins in both calipers is tighter to remove than the other, I'm guessing the tight one should have the 2 piece desiged boot. Hmmm!!

Hi - almost all sliding calipers have one pin which is ‘tightly’ located and one more loosely located. Some arrangements have equal size holes and different pins, others have same sized pins and different holes (with or without rubber bushes). To maintain free sliding, it’s essential to have one side of the caliper with more compliance to allow for manufacturing tolerances and caliper deflections under torque loading.
