Hi looking to replace my front anti roll bar bushes as they are squeaky now. The toyota part diagram shows 2 part numbers:

1. 48815-60100 this is for 96-98 year and 26mm diameter
2. 48815-35100 for 98-02 year and 25mm diameter

Mine is a 96 Prado, so i should go for the 26mm ones, but they are double the price of the 25mm version.

Anyone use the 25mm bush from the later year on the 26mm car before? Thanks

Squeaky does not really demand replacing them , are they knackered or will some grease sort the squeak ?

I've 3 arbs outside but its dark so if measured the right one it looks more like 25mm on my 1998 swb 90 but then my vernier doesn't light up either .

I'm inclined to think 98-02 would refer to the 1kd engine rather than the 1kz , the changeover date is very vague .

Thanks Shayne. The driver side one is pretty knackered. Cracking and deform. I was thinking of doing my steering rack D bush anyway so will do arb bush too while i am there.
To be honest. After checking a few websites, the 25mm ones can be fitted to kz and kd. 26mm seems to be KZ only. And more expensive. Will probably just follow the Toyota part number and go 26mm.

Just rang Toyota - one side of the bush is £57. Blimey… will go aftermarket like Blue Print etc.

anyone use Polybush for anti roll bar? Verdict? Roughtrax and Milner all sell poly.

I wouldn't overthink it they don't do a lot anyway , reason I have 3 arbs in the back yard is i removed them altogether and never noticed any difference while driving .

I never had a problem and its a question been asked on her a few times regarding different things .

ABS light is an instant fail but if ABS system is entirely removed what is there to fail ?

I suppose you can fail on dodgy rear seat belts even if you don't have back seats , but not if the seat belts were removed along with the seats .

Thanks @MikeJak i did check that but there were 2 sizes. But anyway i have gone down the Roughtrax poly version. 26mm
My old one was shot. It went through the rubber.
I did all my steering rack bushes as well while the arb was removed. Not as easy as what YouTube videos suggested!

I did the Roughtrax ones on the 120, made by Whiteline, a US company that has a good history of stuff like this. I liked the constituency of them, and the 'ride' seems an improvement on the old normal rubber ones, although they were showing signs of age.

How long have you had them on already @Tractionman ?

Only about 2 years mate, so a bit early to determine any long term effects.

hah they were certainly done for!
did you put the poly on the steering rack too? they made a huge difference when I changed mine (rebushed all teh front end in poly) for the rack ones a C clamp for the vertical bush was absolutely essential...and lots of grease. the steering is so much better though!
