I'd go with the cheapest one tbh, if you invest in a new "smart" TV chances are it will have apps for all the video streaming services built in. Ive got the £30 one plugged into an older LED TV and it does the job jut fine. To answer your question though, Yes it plugs into the HDMI port.

+1 for NFU, really easy to deal with and they don't charge interest on their monthly payment or any extra for policy mods. I've been with them for 3 years and every time I call I get to speak to the same person which makes me feel less like a battery hen customer.

Alu Cab jobby... came up second hand locally so got it at a reasonable price. A lot easier to setup compared to the howling moon but i do miss the annex.
