Get a price from your main dealer TP and ask for discount. They are classed as service items, so may work out cheaper, if not the same price as the middle east. Stock is the best bet to retain ride comfort.

Toyota sell the pins as "pig tails". A pin with about 3" of wire so you can splice into your loom. Most of the connectors seem to still be available.

Toyota bolts have that lovely built in washer. Copperslip every bolt that goes back in.

Measure twice cut once.... started removing items from the inner wings. Then this happened.. I wasn't planning on going this far, but here we are. Waiting on a dry warm day to give it a good degrease and wash down outside.

best case scenario imo. on the 12 valve all that kinetic energy has no place to go. causes a fair old mess..

most people regret selling an 80. welcome back to sanity..

after ems rav 4 developing a gearbox fault and turning to dust underneath we got a 2011 sorento. seems much better built, has a timing chain, and a proper spare wheel, rather than a tub of gunk..

i actually payed the same for my 80 in the same year! 89000 on the clock. now 341000. without doubt the best vehicle ive ever owned and ever will own.

im reasonable confident he didnt have beef hoisin tacos for tea...

Check your fusible links off the battery. Check the wires from the alternator plug, cut back a little of the sheath if you have to. Rough trax sell a dense alternator for the 80.

Straight through for the 80! Meanwhile, Ems 2010 rav has failed on serious corrosion amongst other things. Looks a completely different vehicle underneath than it did last time I looked about three years ago.. It will be retiring to the sunny climes of Africa I think..

later H151s have bolt holes to take a gear linkage so that the shifter is in the correct position. H151s are a long gearbox so the shifter can end up in a unworkable position on some landcruisers. H150 is shorter. you will have to do your homework as to what works where.. or H152 if you want...
