New exhaust....to go 2.5 or 3 in?? Thoughts?

My DP is knackered as is the back end so have decided to replace the whole lot....been to a local fabricator who I've heard lots of good things about and happy to use them BUT my only decision now is whether to go 2.5in or 3in pipe? My truck is a 12v 4.2 TD with an intercooler fitted if that...

    Pair of MaxTrax recovery tracks

Damn, missed these and Ilkley is literally 15 mins up the road (Nick, if you want them bringing to an event let me know) I've got old fibreglass ones which I've had for years and tbh they've got me out out of the sh1t a few times so interested to see how the max trax compare. As for splinters I...

    Overland show 2018

Nice to see everyone again, and also make some new friends too (Sam & Tam, Grant & Sarah)...show wasn't a massive show, but half the traders are friends anyway so it just adds to the social side! Got away lightly on spending as I only bought a water carrier and a knife...

Rear diff lock bolt sheared - help needed

We've done some digging and established the selector fork has been installed in the diff upside down by whoever last had it out....I'm not pointing fingers as I don't have hard evidence but it was apparently last taken out by one of the well known UK cruiser specialists.

Rear diff lock bolt sheared - help needed

It's out!! My £5 Amazon set saved the day on this occasion. Next problem though - trying to refit the locker and the actuator shaft doesn't seem to go into the axle casing as far as it should?? Have tried it loose and also with the locker bolted up and neither works. That's with the locker in...

Diff lock switch sensor - pattern part?

Has anyone got any links on where to get these from? Just been trawling the net and trying to do cross referencing of part numbers and I can only find them in the US. Rear diff lock bolt sheared - help needed

I'm not sure I can manage those, in the description its 560kgs... :tearsofjoy: I've ordered some cheap ones on Amazon as they can arrive tomorrow, I'll see how I get on. You can get at both ends of the remaining bolt so the method from reverse side should work.

Rear diff lock bolt sheared - help needed

Hi all In the process of checking over the lockers on my truck (they haven't worked for a while) I discovered why my rear one wasn't working (other than a dodgy connection on the plug)... speed

Tend to cruise at 60-65mph on the motorway due to the fuel bill....momentary lapses or being in a rush it will happily keep up in the outside lane but doesn't help my wallet at the pump. I find once you're running over 2k rpm continuously that's when it starts to get thirsty.

    So, I've finally bought one

The roof box and tent are coming off very shortly and being stored indoors as I won't be needing them for a few weeks! On the motorway all the stuff on the roof is the noisiest part. Scott - it came from North London so that might be why? The plate was put on a few owners ago, I admit it...
