ha yeh you will get used to the speed of the lj , I find it nice just sit back window down and arm out of window and just tootle along it amazing how much you notice everyone else speeding around you all in a hurry to get somewhere and I feel relaxed, its great lol.
look to be cracking job done there mate and as the others are saying yes it costing a lot to save but the value will only rise and with all the effort gone in to save it, get it used and enjoy it. :)
300 ouch I bet you didnt order them.
I know it costing to make a solid truck again but you will be adding value to it as well. only going to go up in price.
mine old kzj70 had rust in similar a rear to your so I know how you feeling.
l should of kept mine
oh good chunk of money for body parts...
I've went to see this one and test drove it. its not bad but did still have area of rust to repair and thet 3.5 engine was flat as anything to be honest. also had has one glass panel broken in the rear doors which had been replaced with plastic.
yes I regretted it within a few days of letting it go so I know exactly how you felt. the ironic thing was I was hoping to find a no runner to come up for sale which had a better body than mine and I was going to do a body swop, so a few days after it sold a none runner came up for sale typical...
the sunroof is alway an area for water and corrosion to thrive my old kzj70 had the sunroof and that would leak in heavy rain.
I should be great when you finished and if you spent money fixing your only going to add value so it money in the bank, plus you can enjoy it and get on some adventures...
yes have seen that silver one on a few times look like to a few rough repair done to the quater panels . how your repairs coming along it be well worth keeping once you get the things you need to do to it, keep the pics and upates
coming interested to see how it turns out.
yes seen them 2 on ebay think the silver one has been on ebay a few times,
looking for one with a decent body, don't mind one with some mechanical work to do as I'm ok with the spanners.
Paul.
ha no the body on my old one was realy bad with rott and was going to cost to much to sort out plus time to do it as well. so I sold it, now I miss it so I need another in my life lol.
hi after selling my kzj70 a few months back if found myself wanting another one so is there anyone thinking of selling or have one stored away they may wish to sell then let me know. :)
ps. If you have a lj70 then as long as the body is good will also consider it.
cheers
Paul.
