    LC5 Suspension Woes

I've ignored this for quite a while as it settled down and only re-appeared every so often, and then setting to low would typically fix the problem. Had Mr T look at the problem last service and one of the rear height sensors is physically broken and that'll be around £450 inc vat to replace the...

    LC5 Suspension Woes

Is excessive dust a known problem? I have a warranty with the car - not Toyota so bit of pot luck. They've already paid out for a starter motor, but wouldn't cover a leak in the air con. It's not on the exclusion list so I may be OK. Any idea of the cost of parts vs labour / hours. Is this...

    LC5 Suspension Woes

OK thanks. Just tried something and it seems to have reset the system back to normal - selected low height, pushed height control "off" and drove off... within a few hundred yards suspension height settled to normal height and softness! Does this point to an intermittent fault or had I somehow...

    LC5 Suspension Woes

I seem to have a problem with my rear suspension on my 55 reg 120 series LC5 4.0 petrol with only 43k miles. After a trip to Brecon (no offroading though), it's riding really high (25" wheel arch to wheel centre) and is rock hard. Still goes up or down around 25 mm with the H / N / L settings...

    New Tyres

Hi Mjw, just this photo - not cleaned up yet - waste of time where I live anyway... Paid £480 for 4 fully fitted, balanced inc vat etc, plus £30 for mobile fitting. Put on standard 265/65 R17 so no diff on insurance...

    New Tyres

Hi mjw, see my thread in the tyre section - I just went through the same dilemma for my 120 LC5 petrol and ended up choosing the new GG ATs, primarily due to promised better road noise and economy. It was a close call against the BFG's though and you'd probably be very happy with either.

    120 LC5 Tyres

they are the new AT's, and are replacing the AT2's which are being phased out, though still stock available. According to the guy I spoke to, brilliant in snow, as good off road as the AT2s but much quieter and better on the fuel.

    120 LC5 Tyres

Had the new GG ATs fitted on Sat - Really like them - only short distances so far but seem just as quiet on the road as the Dunlops and quieter on gravel. Good service from ProTyres in Slough as well. Thanks to everyone for advice. Cheers Freddie

    120 LC5 Tyres

Finally decided it would be either grabber or bfg and started looking for someone to fit them. Came across: http://www.4site4x4.co.uk/home.aspx which are the 4x4 division of micheldever tyres. Spoke to the local centre in Slough easily enough and they could supply either for good prices. They...

    120 LC5 Tyres

Ok, saw some BFG's today at the Millbrook proving ground and also had the pleasure of being driven around the off road course in a H3 shod with them - very impressive and I'm sold. However, the current tyres have an S rating (112mph) and can only find the BFGs in R rating (106mph). Top speed is...

    120 LC5 Tyres

thanks for the replies. grabbers AT2 come out slightly better vs BFG AT on tyretest.com - though not much in it: http://www.tyretest.com/4x4_tyres/gener ... index.html http://www.tyretest.com/4x4_tyres/bf_go ... index.html GGAT2 slightly better grip dry, wet, snow but more wear. Whats the...

    120 LC5 Tyres

Hi everyone, new to the forum and I've just come over from the green side (3 disco 3s - should have been 2, but the first one went back!). Got fed up with the repair bills on the last one... I'd like some advice on tyres for my 120 LC5 4.0 v6 on a 55 plate. I picked it up just before Xmas and...
