I need help to make some decisions. I am currently three hours away from my very rural home nursing a petrol/LPG 80 series that has turned very very poorly. The chap who looked at it said it needed a new engine. So what shall I do? I also have a diesel imported 80 series in the garage waiting...

Can the good people on this forum please explain a few of the differences between my home registered petrol (lpg) 80 and a diesel imported 80 I have just bought, The import had two batteries, and the LPG one has just the one. Is it 24v or is it the extra the equivalent of a leisure battery...

Thanks. I was venturing down the Range Rover route then common sense took over.

I definitely do not want to do work on it. If the body is less than salubrious then so be it, but I need everything else to be top notch. I live on a small island with no mechanic, so getting any work done to a car is a major event.

ECOMAN's car is lovely but a little more than I wanted to pay. Is there an advantage having a 24v car over a 12v?
