    D4D injectors.

Toyota Australia did (may have changed) recommend reconditioning/rebuilding the injectors at 100k on the 1KD.

Buying a Colorado- What to look for?

Don't think anyone has mentioned the lower control arms yet, if there is no history of them being changed then it wants to be first job on the list. They have a habit of failing with very little warning.

    My new overland project

I'd love to see more of your build as it progresses. Brilliant trucks!
  10. mrdelmonti

Well I certainly wasn't expecting that!

I love my Arai helmets, light, good airflow, pinlock but most importantly they always seem to fit my head better than anything else. Oh and there's the free helmet clean and store at bike shows. The big thing with helmets is they're not all built equally you have to look at the "Sharp" ratings...

    LC 90 KZTE non-runner

Might have missed a post but have you checked the immobiliser connections? Seen similar before and the connections to the plug on the ECU had gone crusty due to damp, after a clean up and dry it was fine.

Well I've bought something but it isn't a collie. Unfortunately every collie I looked at was suffering with more tin worn than I was willing to take on.

This front IND suspension is killin me!

The easiest thing to do is adjust your driving style, fit front bash plates and slide the front over obstacles and use the articulation and locking diff on the rear to keep pushing you through.
  19. mrdelmonti

    1KZTE Colorado

True but the reality is most of them have been over here long enough now to have suffered a fair amount of British winters without being treated so a lot of them won't be much better.

    1KZTE Colorado

I know what you're saying Shayne but I'd rather have the difflock over the extra spec if I have to choose, I want to get out and do some laning again. I know I could retrofit the difflock but by the time I've gathered all the parts together it would turn into a bit of an expensive do compared...

I've been too long without an LC so I'm looking for 1kzte 95, it needs to be an auto and I'd prefer a VX but ultimately overall condition is more important. If you know of anything then let me know.

Replace Rear Shockers 100 series - problems getting hydraulic suspension pipe removal

As others have said if you remove the spare wheel you can undo the top hat for the ahc pipe and the strut top nut without cutting any holes. It is tight but it can be done.

Lindop Toyota Performance Chip for 120 -SOLD

Andy, in theory it should work with your collie, I can't say for sure though. You would need to double check if your injectors each have a four wire plug. KB you would also have to check if your injectors are the four wire variety.

Lindop Toyota Performance Chip for 120 -SOLD

This is a used Lindop Performance Chip for the 120 series, this was previously fitted to a 2003 LC4 and brings the power up to similar levels as found in the Invincible. This is the second revision on the chip and is plug and play. Any questions then feel free to ask. I'm looking for £SOLD

New / Young Driver - Wisdom on Insurance required:

When I first passed my test I found the cheapest cars to insure were cars you wouldn't normally find a new driver in. Things like Jaguars, Volvo etc. The key was an oddball car. Things might have changed now though.

    Landrover 530

I believe 530 might refer to the heavier plated defenders that you could get as a special order, these were on a heavy duty chassis and plated to tow up to 5.3 tonnes. They're rare beasts though.
