OK, certainly no bargain but what caught my eye was the new engine installed only a few k miles ago.........

Does look good - but for £18k I wouldn't expect any less TBH.

Interesting that fitting the "wrong" oil filter resulting in the truck requiring a whole new engine. (Note to self to make sure I get the right filter for DIY servicing!) :shock:

Yes, especially if it was a main dealer that fitted the wrong filter!

A very expensive mistake - though I'm surprised that (assuming the "wrong" oil filter fitted correctly) it could lead to the engine being damaged to the extent that it requires complete replacement. Surely most oil filters, especially ones that have the same fitment, will do roughly the same job?
