From what i have found out the later 120 calipers and discs are larger than the 90 brakes and might make a good upgrade.

anyone know of any reason why 120 calipers, discs and pads will not bolt to a 90 hub ??????
apart from wheels size and dust guard.

120
pads
134.6 x 77.1 x 17

discs
Disc Diameter 338.0mm
Disc Thickness 28.0mm
Overall height 67.3mm
Centre Diameter 108.0mm

vs
90
pads
119.2 x 72 x 15

discs
Disc Diameter 319.0mm
Disc Thickness 22.0mm
Overall height 70.2mm
Centre Diameter 108.0mm

cheers roy

There is no mistaking, the brakes on teh 120 series are awesome.
Stopping power is amazing for a 2300kg vehicle.

If you can get to the scrappy, and "loan" a caliper as a test mule, I guess thats your way forward.

Probably need to leave a good deposit, as assurance you will bring it back whan you have "test fitted it"

Way to go forward is the 120 series brakes if you can.

does the 120 not have 17" rims, it could be the calipers hit your 16" wheels?

Hi Bor S,

There is mention "anyone know of any reason why 120 calipers, discs and pads will not bolt to a 90 hub ??????

Given the age of the 90/95 series vehicles (typically 10+ year old vehicles), you may find that a full overhaul of the brake system (including calipers) will improve stopping power. It made a huge difference on mine, and it's probably safer than doing custom upgrades.
