I want a 2nd set of alloys for the hilux, but they a bit expensive.

What size are 120 wheels? I need 17", the wheel is 7.5J with a 30 offset.

Pete

I am running Colorado 16" wheels on my Hilux , with 15 offset, but they are 7" wide.

Thats an option, probably the cheapest one, and the alloys do look good on your truck, but I reckon the 265/70r17 will give another 10mm clearance maybe.

The 15 offset would be ok as the tyres do sit inside the arches slightly at the moment.

The factory standard size on the 120 is 17" with 265/65r17 . They did fit an oversized tyre on the 120 invincible though.

You could go larger 16" tyre than I had. I deliberately wanted to stay standard diameter this time, since I reckoned it made auto box work harder in mountains having a taller tyre

As AC says, you could go with the 16inch Collie alloys and 265/75 tyres. That would give you roughly the same, perhaps even a tad more clearance than the oversize 17 inch tyres but should work out cheaper.

Also, you would need a suspension lift to fit the 265/75r16 or 265/70r17
And possibly have to remove the mudflaps or reshape them

I have a set of colly rims if you decide to go that route.

Theres a pedders lift on the same list, 40mm.

I want a particular tyre, bfg at2's (the new one), but there are limited options :(

And a body lift and 285/75's go on it will look ace

35"? Might be a tad tall......

Advantage of a larger tyre will be that the speedo might be a bit more accurate!
