2-pin waterproof connector assembly

Hi all

Got a wiring kit for my LightForce Strikers, and the fly lead to the lamp is terminated with the female of these:



And the male connectors were supplied in kit form.

Question - how far must the metal prong protrude in the housing to make a proper connection when the 2 are clipped together?

Limited space to work in (the fly tails on the lamps are surprisingly short). I'd like to use the plugs if possible, although I could chop them off if it gets too complex!

Hi Gary

when the wires are crimped (or soldered) to the pins you push the pin into the housing they will click into place at the correct length,
and you won't be able to pull it out without a tool !
