Trying to get the post's up!

I'm about to embark on a custom idler for my 45! I'm going to get rid of the tapered bush set up and build myself
a unit with tapered wheel bearings!
Has anyone heard of or done anything like this?

I will post picks when I'm able to!

Well Almost done for those that are interested! Idler arm2.JPGidler arm1.JPG Now to paint the housing , assemble and fit to my ute when I return home from Work!

Well if anyone is interested the bell crank is finishedIdler done.jpg ready for install next Wednesday when I get home from Work! It will lower the idler arm itself but with my extended grill I cant help that. A normal front end would allow the hub unit to be raised up in the brackets putting the arm in the original position.

Just to let those interested know the new set up is excellent:thumbup:

Now with the return to center steering damper she steers like she was built in the 90's. Very smooth to spin the wheel, no drag from the idler.

Still a bit jumpy on the road but I think that is due to rod ends and to the big shity tires.
