Advice needed

Evening legends,
Advice needed , due to severe arthritis in my left foot I need an automatic, I have two choices,I convert my 60 to an auto but which box is best as the standard auto is just a four speed or I sell it and get a classic 4x4 with an auto but with the amount of work that has gone into my 60 I’d rather keep it , thoughts ?

I would think the original 60 series auto would be your best bet if you can find one as all the parts to convert will be off the shelf and designed to fit ..... are you sure the OE box is 4 speed ?
An early 80 box might fit but would your transfer bolt to it ?
Another thought is what about fitting servo assist to your clutch pedal ? That might be easier than finding all the parts to convert to auto .

My 61 was auto 4 speed. I think it had a different radiator with integral oil cooler for the gearbox but a separate oil cooler can be found I’m sure if needed. It Had the 12HT engine - not sure what your engine is? Potentially any non standard set up may need props modifying?

I'm thinking clutch pedal is just a lever and you can lift the boom of a 30 ton digger with your finger because its hydraulic same as your clutch . Add a second brake booster maybe ? or move the pedals so you can use your good foot for clutch ?

In fact i know a taxi driver who has clutch where accelerator should be and visa versa ...... however the only reason I know is because it all went wrong when another taxi driver decided to move his car for him

I assume it was your 60 I saw on FB? What a lovely truck. I wish I could justify another vehicle, my wife thinks 6 is too many already...
