Alternator

It seems that my alternator has decided to die. Does any one know the specs of the alternator so I can get the correct one?
Prado 120 KDJ120 Diesel 3.0

Would you get the original reconditioned? Or do you just want a new one, I've heard of mixed reviews on new alternators at the minute, lot of crappy units apparently. What brand would you go for? I'm not sure of the specs, is there any data stamped on it?
