Currently mulling over a few options on what to do with my Cruiser, sell it or not, upgrade or not. Whatever happens I’ll still have a Cruiser, maybe not an 80, but it will be a Cruiser.

It is a 1997 HDJ80 with 140,000 miles on the clock, body work is in good condition and has been maintained with no expense spared. 90% of all work carried out has been done by Overland Cruisers, with receipts as back up. I fully understand and do not expect to get back what I’ve invested in the truck, but what would a realistic price be if I decide to put it on the market?

Details are,

Intercooler
Uprated front and rear brakes
Madman EMS
3 working diff locks
Long travel 3” slinky suspension lift with RoxShocks
Kaymar rear bumper with twin wheel carriers and 2 OME alloy wheels
Front winch bumper, and goodwinch
Rock sliders
Longranger auxiliary fuel tank
On-board Viair compressor and receiver
Black Widow storage draws
40L water tank
IBS split charge system with optima batteries
In dash CB
Snorkel
Cargo barrier
Stainless steel exhaust system
Under body bash plates
And probably more, I just forget the rest right now…..

The only issue that is outstanding is a crack in the transfer box casing, due to the level plug being over tightened. This casing will be replaced, the truck is currently at a well-known 4X4 specialist being serviced as I write this post.

Hi Charlie, is it a UK spec manual Cruiser? does it come with the roof rack/tent as it isn't mentioned? I may be interested.

Andy

UK spec HDJ80 VX 1HD-FT, manual gearbox. Roof rack/tent if I sell the truck would be up for sale also.
If I do decide to sell it will be mid-July, as the truck is off to the Pyrenees next month.

I think there are a lot of people on here who would be interested Charlie!!!

For a well sorted 24V with all the kit on it, a fair bit more than the £7-8K you see std vehicles selling for.

Yep - just keep it! What more would you want from another vehicle?

It's a good looking truck and I don't think you will get what it's truly worth, if it was me I would just keep it and enjoy it.

Yeah, I think you should keep her ! she looks a real beauty, not many around these days

Charlie, you have put so much time and effort into that truck, and it is superbly kitted out. It would be a real shame to let her go, but I do understand that sometimes when you have climbed a mountain you feel the need for a fresh challenge. Your decision can only ever be an emotional one, not a financial one, so do whatever makes you feel happy. BTW, I'm about to sell the 120 that you saw in Morocco... it would suit you down to the ground....:lol::lol:

Would be interested in it when you decide on a price....

Lovely looking truck Charlie.

I reckon somewhere between 8 - 9k.

kamaal - if charlies is worth 5-6k, then when you find your 100, will you be asking about 2k for yours? If so, post on here as someone may be interested....

Pete

Alfreton, eh? I shall have to keep my eye out for you. Same as mine without the err, 'character'.

Chris

Ps Charlie, if you do decide to sell, add me to the list of interested folks, I was going to go for a d4D 95 but that would change my mind.

Pete

To be honest I would say its worth £5k-£6k

I believe it’s got to be worth 9k plus, if not I’ll be keeping or stripping the parts and they will be sold off separately.

Andrew, your 120 was a nicely set up truck, but I’m what I’m looking at will have either 6 or 8 cylinders.
