I had a classic one a while back, my (pedal) bike was stolen. While one the phone with the police for insurance, I said to the guy "I am sure it would have been stolen by a little sh1t on the nearby estate which I cycled past. If I see it, what can I do?" "Sir", he replied in a dry voice, "You use the minimum force necessary to reclaim your items. You then call us and we'll call the ambulance"
