Brake bleeding woes

Just fitted a new master cylinder. But it doesn't matter how many time i've bleed the system in the correct order I've still got a spongy peddle. Has anyone had the same problem? Can you pressure bleed this system with a rubber push on cap to the master cylinder.

Deja vu here I think.

Have you bled the master cylinder, not just the brakes?

I pressure bled mine with the method you describe. I obtained a second reservoir cap and fitted a nozzle for the tube. I used a bicycle inner tube for the pressure source and kept the pressure below 10psi to stop the cap blowing off.

Mine took ages to get right as well as using a pressure bleeder.

What i did find though is the pedal improved loads after driving it for a while.

With a servo try bleeding with engine running. Having said that I've just drained and bled mine with no probs at all. Sometimes if you leave it overnight all the tiny air bubbles collect and you can bleed it out in the morning. Also DON'T top up with used fluid whilst bleeding. Always top up with new as this will not be aerated.

Sometimes forcing the pads back can get the fluid going the other way and help dislodge air.
