Broken Engine

I can answer my own question.

When I removed the bolt holding the injection pump to the stay the pump just slipped out. No need for any puller.

The injection pump drive gear nut was on pretty tight so I removed it with an impact driver. I reckon that loosened the taper joint. For anyone reading this later if you have to push the pump out then push on the threaded shaft as the collar is not part of the pump!

Engine is fully stripped and Cylinder block, Head, camshaft and cranshaft are all in the back of Roger (1997 24v 80 series) ready to drop off at the engineers on Monday.

Was just going to reply but see you’ve done it!
All I can say is bolt mine and Sam’s were F****** tight and we had to make up a pulley with high tensile bolts as normal ones just wouldn’t shift it,
Guess you were lucky!
