P.S. When I was 15 and building my first Motorbike engine one of my uncles called in to see us. All my 3 uncles worked for RR at Derby. He came into my workshop and looked around and said "don't do the strong man act when doing up your nuts and bolts". I don't know why he said it but it has always stuck in my mind.

Can't prove that they overtightened the studs as I was not watching at the time. Also the stud has classic fatigue tide marks on the fracture surface so can't really hold them responsible. At least I did not have to pay for the puncture repair.
