Diesel 80's.

I've just been talking to my MOT tester about the possibility of the older diesel cars being banned from the road. He raised the point that all classic cars each pump out much more pollution than the average 80 so a ban on 80's would logically mean a ban on all classic cars. I'm quite confident that's not going to happen.

I thought they had already effectively banned classic cars , i'm not going to look it up but only vehicles registered before 1972 can be classed as classic or something like that ?

40 year rolling exemption started last year, anything before 1978 is exempt.

So by 2040 all 80's would be exempt... but we will see!
