I thought this1997 Colorado looks a bit strange, when I noted the seller indicated it was a D4-d engine.
This is a 1997 model

Any way, I decide to ask him " is it really a D4-d engine."
"Yes, "the answer comes back
So I ask him to "send me a picture of the engine"
"Well, it's a D4-d " he says, "just like any other D4-d"

Ok, I say, "then send me a picture ?"
"look on the internet "he says, "there are many D4-d enginss, it's just like them"

Any way,
No picture is forthcomming.

It lets be believe this is not the D4-d, but just the 3.0 TD

Funny how it's three years too old to have a D4D and it doesn't have the D4D badging.

Sumfink fishy here me finks :naughty:

Maybe the seller doesn't know the difference

I would put the boot on the other foot.

May be he does know the difference, thats why he isn't sending any photo.
He may be relying on the fact that the buyer doesn't know the difference.

Report him to ebay :)

If loads of us do it they will quickly get the message :D

Why not ask "Do you realise there are two engine types and with the age of your vehicle as well as missing the lettering above the indicator, it is probably not a D4D. if he ignore your or gives an arsy response, then report him to ebay and copying them on the response.

He might well be a fool who does not actually know what you are alluding to? Would be grim for someone to buy the wrong vehicle but also "buyer beware" should always rattle in your head...
