the tick over is currently 900rpm on my 105 4.2 TD and i want to adjust it to the correct level. is this 750 rpm?
if so, how do i make the adjustment?

with thanks,
andy

Presumably, the lower the idle, the lower the oil pressure and therefore the lower the protection...

Having had a look at the FSM it would seem it has to be done electronically with the Toyota handheld computer thingie.

That is for the 1HD-FTE but the 1HZ and HD-T can be done by adjusting an idler screw.

Could you or anybody else tell me what the FSM stated you can do with the Toyota diagnostic to adjust this as I have a friend who's 100 TD is ticking over at 825 rpm (goes to 1025 with A/C on).

Thanks in advance.
