I like the way the poor cow is tied down. Here you'll see a cow or horse, pig (all sorts) just standing in the back of a pick up, for some reason they never seem to want to jump...

We had an old mazda 323, the "bubble" one, in the 80s. We bundled a sick cow into the backseat to take her to the vet. He injected her with something without removing her from the car. We drove back (about an hour) with the cow feeling better and head out the window. had some cool looks from other road users..

We had a few wekkas on the farm - there was lots of pushing and pulling.
Being sick she was quite lethargic

at first i thought "that looks cruel" as well. but then if the cow was already laying down and the straps are gently applied just enough to keep her from getting up ... well ... just like a seat belt.
better than the old girl getting up at 50 k/h and stumbling into traffic or bustin a leg jumping out. no?

still would make me take a third look if i saw this heading down the back lane

At first glance, yes I can see it might look cruel, but the farmer has laid straw for the cow to lay on and she doesn't look to perturbed,

and Carl, it was the caption rather than the picture that was supposed to be the funny bit.
