Hi all, well I convinced my 16 year old son to make his first car a 70 series land cruiser ute with a 2f diesel engine. Two main reasons, slow and only three seats. Anyway, we have purchased one and are in the process of doing it up. The fuel gauge and tacho do not work. Can anyone tell me how to test the sender units or possible causes. Will post some pictures when I can

Thanks in advance

Mark

HI Mark
For the gauge of fuel,in the trunk you can see small hole with two bolt, open it and will see two wire which going in the reservoir. Try to connect each other to see do gauge will go to maximum,if go problem is with float in reservoir which you can disassemble with 6 bolts on the same place and check or replace
If tacho means speadmeter my experience is that cable that comes in the panel is little bit short and sometimes failure from the panel.
I hope you will understand my bad english
Regards
