Hi guys

I have "inherited" a 1995 70 series 4.5L ute/pickup/bakkie from my 30 something year old son. Actually, he bought it during covid with the intention of doing it up and going on an adventure around Australia. Unfortunately, his interests have moved on and the ute lies abandoned in my garage.

I have been frustrated for a while now with this partially deconstructed vehicle taking up space in my garage. The other day I was thinking about this and realised the Landcruiser was not the problem, it was actually the solution. Here was a brutally simple iconic vehicle just waiting for me to notice it. Is there anything more rewarding than spending time with your son working together on a vehicle that promises to make dreams come true?

In any case, I used to do all my own vehicle maintenance and repairs when I was younger. This was before internet forums and YouTube clips. I managed to pull cars apart and put them together again with a lot of patience and the occasional phone call to my Dad. Since he is not around anymore I thought it would be a good idea to make friends with some guys who know something about Landcruisers.

Hope to chat soon

Reg

Sounds like a great project reg. what state is it in, what are the priorities, does it have roadworthy? Let’s have some pics please. What are you going to use it for!
