Hello I'm new to this forum my lj 70 has got stuck in reverse does anyone know what could be wrong was worcking fine until I put it in reverse in my driveway????

Does the clutch still feel like its working OK?

I've never heard of a 70 box getting stuck in gear, their usually pretty tough reliable boxes.

What about the threads discussing the gear lever nylon pivot bush disintegrating.

I'd suggest taking the gear lever off to check the condition of the nylon bush it sits in...

took box out nylon bush on selector worn out on Base but but had no problems changing gear before think may have jumped selector fork or shaft. gear lever feels like it's in neutral but won't go forwards or backwards to select any gears.Has anyone got any ideas? My lj 70 has done about 200,000 miles and is a 2.5td:-?
