Hello everybody, not visited for a while, simply because the 120 keeps slogging quietly on. I use it as my daily driver and love it.

However, as of a few days ago I have noticed a sort of grinding noise from the right front wheel when turning to the right, but only at full lock. It's a kind of scraping noise, with a bit of vibration. I looked underneath but nothing seems to be caught there.

Could anybody hazard a guess as to what this is? Perhaps a wheel bearing?

TIA
D.

Hi D. It certainly sounds like the tyre catching, have you got 265/65's on or 265/70's?

if its a wheel bearing it should be rumbling as its rotating I gurss the other thing it might be is the CV joint>

Slightly loose wheel nuts? Other than that I'm with Andy

check inner tyre sidewalls asap - had similar on a Jeep Cherokee, tyre snagging - by the time I found it there was a cut to the canvas! No idea how the stops got so out of adjustment...............................

Thanks to everybody for their comments. I decided to leave it and report back. Noise has now gone - not sure if that's good or bad!
