Hi , I wanted to put some better quality low beam headlight bulbs in, Just wonderd what the better quality options are out there. something thats easy to install preferably . Bright but also dose not blind on coming traffic. Happy to pay for quality ,what are people using.
thank you Mark

stedi LED bulbs have been working well for me. Much brighter, especially main beam, without getting any flashes from other drivers.

I found Classic Car LEDs but I can’t include the web address, it’s easy to find.
I haven’t fitted them yet but I thought reasonable price and they’re decent quality by the looks. Got the warm white ones as I prefer it to bright white and reckoned I’d get less bother from those that like to bother.

I fitted some budget ones from ebay ages ago and they've been fine so far, good aim and much brighter than the originals. They've passed two MOT's so far but they're all technically illegal in old headlamps anyway so I'm not going to spend big £ on "premium" branded stuff.

I also fitted cheap eBay LEDs to my Sprinter van in the UK, they're really good. Passed it's MOT with no trouble as well. I also bought a set of 4 for my 100 series here in Zimbabwe the difference is amazing.

I'll probably get another set for my 60 series project too.

was under the impression that LED bulbs won't work right in old headlights and cause issues for other drivers ?

Some do and some don't, even though they may be listed as H4, H1 etc...etc which makes choosing some a bit of lottery and probably the reason they have been made "illegal" although many seem to be getting through the MOT OK.
