Headlight bulbs

A caveat Hutton, if buying on line you can find bulbs listed as for example 5000 lumens when actually they are a pair of 2500 which is not always apparent at first glance

Interesting note on the colour temperature. I thought the closer to sunlight temperature (5500k) the better. What LED lights have you tried? As they have been progressing at a tremendous rate the past few years

Looking at the specs for the Phillips Extreme Vision (https://www.philips.co.uk/c-p/12972XVB1/x-tremevision-car-headlight-bulb/specifications) they output 1500 lumens. They don't say in the specification but further googling says they are at 3400k

If these the LED lights are anywhere near their specification (and I believe they are) then they should output twice as much light as the extreme vision.

They were these ones: https://nl.aliexpress.com/item/Osla...72-4a5c-b874-e41966b7aea3&transAbTest=ae803_1

They are 6500K, they state 4000lm, but with another vender it says 2500lm, so you really never know...
Also I forgot to mention, they have a lot of interference noise on my radio and cb so thats another downfall.

Thanks for all the great advice and recommendations. You really are a knowledgable bunch!
