System restore then turn off the updates......
 
Type in at the bottom left in 'ask me anything' and it will bring up a set restore point, set on to prior to your update and then restore your PC/laptop and don't for get to turn of the updates...

Just nicked oh's wireless keyboard and all works well so must be laptop keyboard nackered
 
I have no idea how to get to it in win10 mate but if you can find device manager , keyboard should be in the list of devices and clicking on it might give you the option to roll back driver .

I never went to 10 but its been an option in windows for as long as i can remember so you never know .
 
Shayne once you get used to it Windows 10 is OK....
 
more than likely a driver issue..id try and update it via the device manager as follows
  1. Click the Start button, type "device manager" in the search box, and then select Device Manager.
  2. In the list of hardware categories, find the device that you want to update, and then double-click the device name.
  3. Click the Driver tab, click Update Driver, and then follow the instructions.
 
The update likely installed a new driver one that is not compatible with your old hardware , roll back will reinstall the previous driver that did work .
