Hey All,

Just saying hi and introducing myself. I own a V8 Troopy from 2023, which we have setup as a camper/overlander. With roof conversion and track correction. This is our first ever new vehicle.

Apart from the roof conversion and the pre-rego suspension and track correct all the work has been done myself. In Australia you have to have a compliance plate for that work and if it is done pre-rego, it is considered second stage manufacture.

All of the other work has been done myself. From interior sound proofing, water tanks, interior setup to electrics and decals etc. Vehicle has hot water, diesel heater and complete camper setup.

We used to travel in a Land Rover 110 for about 10 years prior to 2014, with this Troopy we plan to travel globally from 2027. Previous to that I spent my childhood in the middle east, so have a lot of experience camping and travelling in the desert, where I learnt to drive.

Will share more later, I've been gradually writing up the build on our travel blog, which has a lot of content from our previous travels.

Sounds like an awesome truck. The troopy must be one of the best off the shelf places to start for an overlander. Shame they are so rare in the UK
