Hi All! I've just joined the club as an enthusiast and although I don't actually own a Land Cruiser, I work as Parts Manager for Toyota Gibraltar Stockholdings Ltd., a company supplying Toyotas to the aid and relief market worldwide, and perhaps I can provide some feedback to some of the queries posted here.

Hi! 80-series parts are not so easy to source, I'm afraid, but we may be able to request directly if we had a chassis number and a model code.

I'd be interested to know if you can source parts for the 70 series?

Often I can get parts directly from Toyota, but Amayama is my go-to as the parts are genuine and prices more reasonable, providing you can wait a few weeks for delivery.

We are principally set up to supply our client base but can entertain requests if you find going through the usual channels doesn't work. Let me know if there's anything in particular that you need.

Good to know, thanks Nick.

I see quite a few brand new R150/R151F gearboxes on the market that have been stripped from LC70s. I assume these are replaced with the stronger H150/H151F/H152 boxes. Out of curiosity, do you know how common this is with Aid agencies and your customer base? Does the R series cause problems? I know it is regarded as a less reliable transmission by some.

Until very recently, most of the 70-series we have supplied over the years have been almost exclusively with the 1-HZ engine and I have not heard of anyone wishing to change the original gearbox which is pretty bulletproof.

Good to know, thanks Nick.

Thank you for introducing yourself Nick.
Whilst you wrestle with the various requests for new 80s etc :joycat:.
I see your organisation supplying from Gibraltar, I assume mainly LHD. However are you able to supply RHD 2.8lt Auto Troopy current build into UK?
Be well,
SeanS

My understanding is that TGS only sell to specific named organisations and don't do any direct to retail
