Hi there, I'm Sven, a Namibian living in Cape Town, South Africa, Nice to be here.

I am a photographer by trade and live in beautiful Cape Town, South Africa.

I have a 1977 HJ45 with 196000km on the clock. She's pretty much all original still and in great shape. Only changes over the years have been shocks and a newer alternator fitted. My father built a Turret for the roof for game viewing and filming.

I plan on doing a frame off restoration on the chassis, its in great nick, but has a lot of thick bitumen which I'd like to remove and just get down to simplest and best protection. It has minimal rust, but would like to get that all sorted and spray her and the canopy just a few shades darker than it is. The idea is to use it for overlanding and camping trips and to sleep in the back since it's nice and long.
Most overlanding experience, sand and reasonable dune driving always fun. Not the biggest fan of rock crawling, but if its a challenge on a route im driving, I'll accept.
