Hilux - Reverse lights on with Parking lights and vice versa

Ok, so not a Landcruiser but a Hilux. It has some electrical issues I'm trying to sort out.

First question, are the Parking / side lights on the same circuit and fuse as the Reverse lights? The fuse box diagram lids don't list Reverse lights anywhere separately.

The problem it's having is when you put the automatic lever in reverse, the reverse lights come on but also all the parking lights and the dash illumination comes on too, even though the parking light stalk is in the Off position. Likewise, when you put the parking lights on via the stalk the reverse lights come on with them too even with the Lever not in Reverse.

I have removed the rear lamps and checked for corrosion, etc, they seem ok. I have stripped back some of the tow bar wiring and it all seems in good condition too, including it's earth. The wiring in general seems in good condition.

I also looked at the Reverse switch on the end of the gear box, its a 3 wire and they seem ok physically on the outside too.
Anyone got any suggestions on what else to check for regarding this issue?

There are other electrical issues too with the indicators and gear lever but I thought the constant issue of the reverse and parking lights would be the easiest to start with.

Might be worth taking the steering wheel apart to see if stalks can be replaced . Had to swap one in my 90 series when headlights became indicators and all sorts of confusing nonsense .

Probably a very long shot, but back in my distant youth a workmate had an odd fault where when he applied the footbrake the side lights came on.
Took some finding but it turned out to be a faulty 5/21w tail/stoplight bulb where the two elements were touching, possibly due to the bulb overheating.

Also i'd disconnect the reverse light switch on the gearbox and see if the fault disappears, its possible the switch is stuck 'on'.
