No worriesMe too. Ok, thanks Moggy
Standard, to fit the Hilux ones you also need to change the calipers. Thats why these are spare as I now have Hilux ones
Hi moggy. I read your old post ,2013,about upgrading 60 series callipers. I bough 2 new one's destinate to a four runner 3.0 V6 180 model between 89 and 95.I have to send them back but order quickly two others that will this time fit. Which mod. I have to search, possibly a bolt on item.? I have an Hj61 European model 1987 with 12ht engine LHD. ThxNo worries
Mine is a 60 with 2h so not sure if they’re the same. On mine you can use calipers and pads from a mark 3,4,5 Hilux. Some slight modification (with a hammer and angry grinder) to the back plate may be neededHi moggy. I read your old post ,2013,about upgrading 60 series callipers. Thx for your reply. The calipers I bought are a 127, 5 mm instead the originals are a 88 mm. I don't think there is a difference between a 60 and a 61 about calipers. Your upgrade one's are an 88mm? From which Toy, mod.,year, the belong? ThxMine is a 60 with 2h so not sure if they’re the same. On mine you can use calipers and pads from a mark 3,4,5 Hilux. Thx for the big info you gave me. Yes mine is a round light. I looked, as you suggested, the kzj90 calipers. They are found also on four runner 3.4 lire....The calipers that fit are from .. kzj70, kzj90, hilux surf, hilux 3? 4 5, jdm import 71, 77,78,79 either kzj or lj. I suspect that the calipers off an early 120 series will fit but that's just a hunch!
When I fitted the calipers to my 60. I noticed that it had a round light 60 hub on the passenger side which has the same mounting bolt as the list above. The driverside original 60 hub has a bigger mounting bolt so I drilled out the caliper to enable fitment. It said a bit of history to my 60.
If your 61 has round light then it would be a direct bolt on without drilling the caliper... as far as I've worked out from looking at a roundlight 61 caliper.. Hope the info helps..
