How's your head for heights?

I’d be OK with a safety tether on.

Doing what they’re doing is a bit iffy, what if they dropped one of those platform sections?
 
Yes but have you seen what the tether is tied to? That's like sawing a branch off - from the wrong end. Also that type of scaffold if designed to be in compression - ie to make a tower from the ground up. But at least they have their high viz on so they're not going to be run over.

If we had to work at height over the Opera House stage all tools (and ourselves) had to have a tether on.

I don’t fancy what they’re doing. As Chris says it’s like sawing off the branch you’re sitting on.

Changing light bulbs can be a bit hairy…


I hope he got well paid for that.

All those vids made my Willy go funny.. And the backs of my knees for some reason:shock:
 
There were no safety harnesses when i worked scaffolding , i never went that high but once you got past a certain height you could only fall once so it didn't matter .
