Hi Guys and girls. i have recently bought an FJ40 and am looking for some advice. (actually lots of advice) im only a week in and am sort of regretting my purchase
I Purchased the car via HOGG AND SWAN and after the car had been dropped off (driven off of the trailer) and i went to fill it up the issues started.
I got the car back and left it parked over night. when i tried to start it in the morning it appeared that the battery was dead. after a quick look under the hood i found that the copper clamp that attaches to the neutral terminal had snapped. i have just bought a new one and it seems to have solved that problem but starting the engine is hit and miss.
I really wanted to be able to get into the car and for it to start. (I do realise that i have bought a 1975 car which has been restored but i do need some sort of reliability)
I live in Essex in Ingatestone, and wandered if you good people would know a reliable classic car mechanic that could guild me in the right direction ?
Regards
