Interior alarm sensor disabling

You can remove the unit with the interior light and sensors without having any negative effect, this will remove the interior alarm sensor. I’ve done this so that I could install a roof center console and have had no issues for over 2 years. Can’t recall the exact arrangement, but if I remember right if you look at the unit when removed it was “pluggable” so should be able to remove the plug/power and then reinstall. I’ve still got the unit buried in the garage somewhere, I’ll try to dig it out and take a look for you.

Out of curiosity.... why disbale it? Faulty?

No Sam but my dog's often in the car and there's a lot of things that move and set it off...

Thanks DH.
So I just disconnect the power supply plug to the sensor/interior light and refit the console?

Dave's got me thinking on that as its so simple, I'm fed up with having the windows open parked in the yard, shut them at night to find a bloody fly or something has got trapped and triggered the alarm. Usually very late and blaring away.

I dont find the off button that annoying but I suppose if I had to do it every day I'd soon be reaching for the unplug. Usually only use it when it's over hot - don't get too much of that here!

Hows your roof center console?
Love it Karl, was a few £ (they seem to cost even more now then when I got mine) but great to have the CB easily used but also out of the way. The led interior lights are great also, much better than the 1 candle power ones installed by mr t. Small “locker” not that useful but do use it when travelling to have docs passport etc to hand.

My alarm on the 120 just went off while parked on the street outside my house!
Are there any other alarm sensors that could've set my alarm off?
Could a Taxi CB radio set it off?

So far simply pressing the button in the roof has disabled the interior sensors every time, we have dogs who once in a blue moon are locked in the boot for a short period with windows left partly open.
