Interior lights failing

Safe. I'm out Sunday Morning.

Chris

Took the rear light off, drilled out the old rivets and re-riveted it ! the old festoon was a little temperamental and required a jiggle to get it to work, the reason for this was because the bulbs I assume were so old that the wire had come away from the end caps, so with a drop of solder it's all as good as new, and all that without having to knock on uncle Chris's door

Who's that knocking on my door? (again)

Hi Chris, i have a 200 series from 2014 and the courtesy door lights are not powered up. There is a wiring to the red cover and a plug, which i connected to different bulbs but there is no voltage going through the wiring. Is there a fuse or something else to fix this? Or is it an extra feature that is not supposed to come with my version?

Thank you in advance

I don't know your truck but a similar fault in the 80 series led me to something called the "dome" fuse under the bonnet .

Mine is a 200 series, i just checked all the fuses and they all fine, in and outside the cabine. I’ve just performed another test and the black wire it’s not even grounded. I got power straight from the battery to the connector and i realised that the black wire is not making connection to the ground. So then I grounded it and worked, all with “bypasses” and “hacks”. I wonder what’s blocking the power to get to the doors.
