Intermittent strange noise

You can hear it at around 0.12 only lasts a split second and then it may not do it for miles
This is on the 80 and I have no idea what it is

Yes never heard it just standing as yet it can happen at any speed or gear

The only thing I can think of is something rotating in a dry bush and 'snatching' for an instant.

Hmm, it's a sort of squawk. I can certainly see what Chas is saying, I just can't think what it might be. But it does sound drive train related. I guess I'd just work though it all from wheel to propshaft. Then start looking elsewhere. Eliminate the obvious I suppose.

I have had it running in the the shed at around 1500 rpm and not any odd sounds, so must be transmissions related
God I so hate intermittent problems wish it would do it all the time or even make it do it
