I decided to tow my FZJ 70 and simply took the stock bumper off and used some 6" (15.24cm) "C" Channel with braced gussets welded in on the back side to fit the sides of the frame rails where the original bumper attached. Made a much more sturdy bumper than the original "tin" on it. With a notch cut at the proper place you can even duplicate the curve in the ends and fill in a little weld for smooth transition around the backside of the bumper.
