Land Cruiser : mileage limit

2000 Land Cruiser Prado VZJ95R 3.4L V6 Petrol Auto, 378,800km so far!

Engine has not been touched apart from rocker cover gaskets but the auto trans (A343F) has been rebuilt once.

334,207 miles as of this morning (537,000 km)

2003 reg kdj95 (Colorado) Daily driver
Engine untouched (bar service items and scv's on the pump)
Grearbox untouched. Rest as needed.

It's going to the South of France again in a couple of weeks.

Consider that the cruisers designed in the 1980's and 90's had a huge built-in life expectancy by Toyota

Correct. at least with the HD series, they are also designed to be rebuilt a couple of times.

1993 HDJ81 - 220KM was an auto originally but had a few issues with it over heating and not shifting gear. No other issues.

200 k km is low for a HD Land Cruiser.
The problem is more of rust than miles.

It would be interesting to get the compression readings on that one approaching 500000 miles..
