Yes

I paid £5.5k for my VX Petrol 80. A GX Petrol (basic spec, no F & R difflocks) 80 in SA with similar milage will fetch equivilant to £13k at least.

Just spent 2 weeks in Namibia and saw a few for sale there. 2nd hand car prices in the uk are very good.

They are very expensive in SA hence the reason I am taking mine back with me when we go next year. Its allot or red tape and a cost but you should quite easily get back what you spend if/when you sell it one day.

If you have owned it for a year and have gained residency here you can import it not paying any duties but there are taxes and other costs.
