Landcruiser 300 power tail gate

My LC300 tailgate is playing up, when you open it, it wont close off either the button on the tail gate or the button by the steering wheel. You hear a double beep, which i assume is some sort of fault. After about 5 minutes it will close fine. Has anyone else seen this?

Probably best plugging in a diagnostics tool to see what it thinks is the problem. More modern cars it's the best way to start with that type of fault.
