travelling through Geneva on Thursday in a taxi we pulled up next to a landcruiser at lights. It was kitted out with a tow-truck lifting crane on back as a recovery vehicle. front looked like a 70-series lights, but it was brand spanking new by look of things - so do they still make commerical 70-series for sale in other countries?

I also spotted several 70 series spec lift recovery trucks at work in France as well.

Slightly off topic, but I drove through Andorra just the other week, and in the space of half an hour I spotted four locally registered, mint condition 80's.

Indeed they do, I was almost hit by one that ran the lights when I drove through Paris 2 weeks ago, looked fairly new, but fairly heavy duty underneath. Sounded like the 4.2 TD aswell.

i've just got back from the alps / jura. saw loads of swb 70's on farms, basically replacing a 90 defender.
