LJ70 Build Thread!

Thanks guys.

Ended up going out last night so felt very hungover this morning.

So I did the logical thing and rescheduled the hangover for tomorrow and got straight back on it! :obscene-drinkingdr:

No beach Steve but we've already cooked the bacon and tomatoes on the BBQ. :icon-cool:

Enjoy the turkey
How do they stop it burning on outside and raw in middle?

Happy xmas

Great pics Ben. Man that blue sky. Have a great Christmas down under. Still can't get used to you being upside down though. How does it feel?

Thanks guys.

The bacon around the turkey gets burnt, and apparently that stops the turkey getting burnt. :?

Its been in hours and is almost ready. We've just had prawns. ("shrimp on the barbie mate!")

Thanks Chris, I swear the sky is bluer down here, its awesome!

Loving life in upside down land, honestly couldn't be happier!

I never dreamt my life could be this amazing down here, I am so happy!!!!:dance:

I'm with some amazing people and were having a great time! Our entire day has been spent on the balcony/veranda drinking and eating. :icon-cool:

I hope you all have a great Christmas.

Thanks guys. :icon-biggrin:

Tonight will be my last bit of internet/forum access for a while, as were all off to a big music festival tomorrow. :icon-cool:

Today I drove down to the Gold Coast and back to pick Erin up, who has flown in to party with us for the last week of our holiday.

So a few days at the music festival with all the hippies, then a few days in Byron Bay and Nimbin, then NYE on the Gold Coast, then were going to spend a few days leisurely driving back to Melbourne.

Well were finally back in Melbourne after what has been the greatest holiday we've ever had! The last 4 weeks have been amazing!

So on my last post we were staying with the friends we met in Byron Bay for Christmas......................

I drove down to the Gold Coast and picked my friend Erin up from the airport and then had one more night at the friends house who we stayed with for Christmas, then we all drove to the music festival. :icon-cool:

The music festival ended up being very very messy! :banana-stoner:

After that we had a few days in Byron Bay, then we went back up to the Gold Coast for the big NYE party i'd bought tickets for which was on South Stradbroke Island.

Definitely the best NYE rave I've ever been to, but again very very messy. :icon-twisted:

We got off the boat onto the mainland at 6.30am and i decided I wanted to go home. So despite not having slept for 24 hours we set off on the 1800km drive back.

It took us 24 hours in total to get back and the last 6 hours were the hardest. In the end Erin and I were taking it in turns driving for an hour each while the other slept. :sleeping-sleep:

Its got to be the longest car journey home after a NYE party ever!! :wtf:

Ive got 2 days left in the city with Danny now then he flies home. Then I've got a week at home working on LJ before I'm back at work.

Will try and get some pics up soon. :icon-wink:

Sadly the camera died at the music festival.

This latest one has lasted 5-6 weeks, but fortunately is under 5 year extended warranty so it will get exchanged for a new one. :icon-biggrin:

Happy New Year to you all.

Hi Ben and happy new year let it be a good one for all off the cruiser Boys and Girls tonytoyota.

Thanks guys.

Did you get any smoke from the fire? Would you have noticed? ;)

Didn't notice any, but then I was far from sober! :shifty:

I'm not sure how much further North Stradbroke is from South Stradbroke though.

Shame I didn't get chance to meet up with you in Brisbane, we had intended to spend a few days in Brisbane, but meeting our new friends in Byron changed all that and we shot straight up to the Sunshine Coast to be with them.

Not sure when I will be up your way again, probably not for a while. :icon-smile:

Great thread Ben, it's only taken from Christmas Eve to now to read it from the start, I can now get on with life!!! lol
